Planned Giving in Action

Bob was born in Stone County Arkansas at a very early age, and grew up on farms in the Ozarks (Kahoka & Marcella, AR to age 14) and at Chowchilla, California. Mary Jo (Moore) Daum was born in Fresno, CA and lived on their family farm near Chowchilla, CA after 1950. The two of them met on the High School Bus. Bob and Mary Jo moved with their two children from the American Baptist branch of Babylon to the Seventh-day Adventist Movement in June 1974 at the Collegiate SDA Church of La Sierra, California.

He and his wife Mary Jo Daum have raised two delightful children: Mike Daum of Niles, Michigan where he and his wife Jamie work out of the Lake Union District office of GCAS, and Terri (Daum) Perrone, who went to her rest in 2010 and is awaiting the call of the Life-giver when Christ returns.

Work History

Pastor Bob Daum, a Certified Specialist in Planned Giving (CSPG), most recently served donors of It Is Written International Television/Evangelism Ministry as Planned Giving Specialist and Ministry Representative in the New England States of USA and New York.

In addition to his 36 years of work in estate stewardship and planned giving already mentioned, Pastor Daum has also served in the following roles:

  • 6 years at Loma Linda Foods home office, Purchasing Director 18 months; then Marketing Manager & Sales Manager. (10/74-8/80).
  • 5 years as a Financial Planner and Investment Broker at Pasadena, CA and Riverside, CA – California licenses in Real Estate, Securities, Life & Disability Insurance & Annuities, and a Registered Investment Advisor with the SEC; plus a Registered Financial Principal and Partner of a Securities Broker/Dealer. (4/70-10/74)
  • 9 years in the Agricultural Chemical Business Sales & Marketing leadership—Swift & Co of Los Angeles, CA and Red Top Chemical Company of Chowchilla, California. Served as Territory Manager, Product Manager and Marketing Manager in the eleven Western states for Vigoro Farm plus consumer Lawn & Garden Products. (6/61-4/70).
